Education & Outreach

Wanakia Wildlife holds state and federal permits to house and display animals whose permanent disabilities prevent them from returning to their wild habitat. These animals become educational ambassadors who help teach the community about their natural behaviors and how to peacefully coexist with their species.

Participants in these educational sessions, which are presented to all ages and a variety of organizations including school, scout and community groups, observe firsthand how nature has specially designed these awesome creatures to serve important roles in the ecosystem, including in our backyards, school yards and parks.
